Our Story
ABOUT EVANGELINE ACRES
For years, we admired this beautiful farm from next door, enjoying its peaceful views and stunning sunsets. What was once just a neighbor is now a gift we’re humbled to call our own.
We live nearby, work the land together, and hold deep gratitude for what it’s become. Our hope is that other families can come here and make lasting memories of their own, just like we do.
Evangeline Acres honors our Louisiana roots and our Christian faith—its name meaning “Good News.” It’s our prayer that everyone who visits experiences joy, love, and the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
Our hope is that other families can come here and make lasting memories of their own, just like we do.

THE VEILLON FAMILY
For 15 years, the land beyond our fence was simply a beautiful sight to behold— a view we cherished and captured in countless photos of sunsets over its rolling pastures. Our children grew up at the fence line, petting the grazing horses, and dreaming of sneaking under the barricade to fish in its quiet lakes.
We never imagined we’d one day be entrusted with caring for this special place. Now, as its stewards, we are deeply humbled and grateful. It is our joy to tend this land and share its beauty and peace with you.

BEHIND OUR NAME
The name Evangeline Acres carries a deep meaning for us, blending our family heritage with the foundation of our faith. Jeremiah’s family is from Mamou, Louisiana, a small town in Evangeline Parish, and we wanted to honor that legacy in our name.
“Evangeline” comes from the same root as “evangelize,” drawn from the Biblical word for “gospel,” meaning “Good News.” For us, it reflects the heart of our Christian faith: the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ, who bore our sins, conquered death, and offers new life to all who trust in Him.
This name embodies our gratitude for God’s gift and our hope that all who step onto this land experience His joy, His love, and the Good News of the gospel.
