Our Story: The Veillon Family

For 15 years, we have lived beside this beautiful farm, admiring its beauty and the breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky. Our children spent their childhoods standing along the fence, petting the grazing horses, and dreaming of sneaking under the fence to fish in the two serene lakes. This property has always been more than a neighbor; it has been a source of inspiration, a sanctuary of peace, and a constant reminder of the beauty and stillness of God’s creation. We never imagined that one day we would be granted the privilege of calling it our own. Now, as stewards of this treasured land, we are deeply humbled and immensely grateful. It is our joy to care for it, to preserve its beauty, and to share its tranquility and wonder with you.

What's In A Name?

The name “Evangeline Acres” holds deep meaning for us, combining family heritage with the foundation of our faith. Jeremiah’s family hails from Mamou, Louisiana, a small town in Evangeline Parish. This connection inspired us to honor that legacy in the name of our venue.

The name “Evangeline” is rooted in the Biblical word for “gospel,” which means “good news” or “good message.” For us, this name reflects the heart of our Christian faith: the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. He bore our sins, conquered death, and offers new life to all who trust in Him. This name symbolizes our gratitude for this hope and our desire for this place to bring joy, love, and celebration to all who visit.
